All of the hard work that you have been putting in for months has led to one event, your big game and now that it is finally around the corner, you are no doubt anxious and excited about it. It is important for you to try to remain calm and stay confident because panicking at this last minute can affect your performance in the game. The key is practice and there is no doubt that you have put in a lot of practice and hard work over the last few months and therefore all you need to do now is go out there and make it happen.
If you are finding it hard to keep calm and maintain composure, one thing you could do to get things off your mind and make yourself useful is to join the organizing committee. If you have already been practicing for many months then there is no doubt that you are ready for the game already and therefore it is a good idea to take a break from all the practices and start focusing on other aspects of the game. You will need to make sure that all the lights, outdoor LED signs and other things in the ground are in good working condition and you will also need to make sure that all the food and drinks for the event have been ordered and confirmed.
If you feel that you are still less than confident about the game, you could always ask a few friends from your team to come over where you will be able to continue to practice certain strokes and throws that you feel you are not confident with. You can also use the time to get acquainted with the others on your team outside of the ground because team building is just as important in a game as the game itself. Talk to your team about the different techniques they have read about and the different things that could go wrong and the solutions for each of these problems so that you as a team will be ready in case of an issue. You may even want to organize a proper practice game a few days before the main game to get back in touch with everything you have been practicing and also to get yourselves worked out for the big game.
